Democrats in the Illinois Senate stood up for love for all couples today. According to The Chicago Tribune, “the Democratic-led Senate delivered a Valentine’s Day victory to gay and lesbian couples today, passing legislation for the first time that would allow same-sex marriage in Illinois.” The bill passed 34-21 with 2 abstentions.
