Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania is a true battleground state, and the DLCC and state Democrats have made significant gains in both chambers of the legislature in recent years. In 2022, Democrats picked up 12 seats in the Pennsylvania House, flipping the chamber blue for the first time since 2010. Republicans still hold the majority in the Pennsylvania Senate, but Democrats have built power in the chamber since 2022, bringing it to its narrowest margin in over a decade.Â
The DLCC has played an important role in Pennsylvania state elections, helping Keystone state Democrats maintain their one-seat majority in the House and close the gap on the Republican majority in the Senate. In 2025 and 2026, state Democrats have been on a winning streak, and DLCC Target candidate James Malone shocked the nation by flipping his Lancaster County district, an area that favored Trump in the 2024 presidential election by over 15 points.Â
With all 203 seats in the Pennsylvania House and half of those in the Senate on the ballot this November, Democrats have an historic opportunity to build power in Pennsylvania by defending our House majority and picking up seats in the Senate. We are committed to winning and defending Democratic power in the Keystone State.
