In 2012, Rep. Patty Kim became the first Asian-American woman ever elected to the Pennsylvania House. This fall, she’s running for the state Senate to flip her district and continue the work she started over a decade ago. During her time in the legislature, Patty has fought to increase wages, better fund public schools, and defend LGBTQ+ Pennsylvanians from discrimination. She is a firm believer in transparency and accountability in governance and was at the forefront of the movement for public officials to make their office expenses available online. Now, she’s excited to keep showing up for her community with that same level of integrity for years to come.
