Investments into target chambers total nearly $750k thus far
WASHINGTON — Today, the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee announced our first battleground state investments of 2024 along with additional investments to bring our total direct investment into 2024 target states for the cycle to nearly $750K. These critical early investments are multipliers, setting standards and ensuring that Democratic campaign operations work toward self-sustaining practices. Over the last few years, we have seen this strategy pay off, allowing us to build durable Democratic majorities across the country and set our 2024 target map up as our most ambitious yet.
2024 is the year of the states and this latest round of investments will deliver critical resources to Arizona, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
These early investments will strengthen critical infrastructure to support staff hiring, digital infrastructure, field operations, and more.
Here’s the state-by-state breakdown of our latest investments::
- Pennsylvania: $70k to the House (including $50k ahead of the majority-protecting HD-140 special election)
- Arizona: $61K to the Joint Caucus
- Minnesota: $50K to the House
- Michigan: $48K to the House
- Wisconsin: $24K between the Assembly and Senate
- North Carolina: $15K to the Senate
- New Hampshire: $12.5K to the Senate

We know the stakes of winning these crucial battleground states are high, with abortion, voting rights, fundamental freedoms and more on the line. Our Democratic candidates need early and strong support to build sustainable winning campaigns – early investments are often what make or break races. That’s why the DLCC is on the ground early, working hand and hand with our caucus and campaign committees across the country so we can win in November and beyond. The DLCC’s goal is to fundamentally shift the balance of power in the states and therefore, the country. These investments get us closer to that goal.
