WASHINGTON — The Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee is adding Nicole Grohoski to its list of spotlight candidates ahead of the state Senate special election in Maine’s SD 7 this June. First elected to the state House in 2018, Nicole has used her time in the state legislature to fight for increased educational investment, secure greater health care accessibility, and increase broadband access.
“We are so proud to support Nicole Grohoski who has been a critical member of the legislature since she was elected in 2018,” said DLCC President Jessica Post. “Democrats in Maine have fought for working-class families in Maine by expanding Medicaid and increasing pay for child care workers in the state. To no surprise, Democrats have used the majority to improve the lives of Mainers and we cannot wait to watch Nicole continue that fight.”
Raised in Ellsworth, Maine, the daughter of a school nurse and Vietnam veteran, Nicole Grohoski has advocated for her community during her time in the state legislature. Voting to guarantee health care access for people with preexisting conditions, better fund schools and increase teacher pay, and increase local clean energy jobs, Nicole is a proven fighter. She is running for Senate to continue creating meaningful change for all of Maine.
