DLCC Welcomes Mara Sloan To Lead Communications Team
Sloan Brings Years of Political Communications Experience to DLCC

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee Executive Director Jessica Post announced Mara Sloan will lead DLCC’s communications department as Communications Director.

Sloan has previously held communications positions in the offices of U.S. Senators Bill Nelson (D-FL) and Bob Menendez (D-NJ), and for U.S. Reps Al Lawson (D-FL) and Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), the Democratic National Committee, and she served as a presidential appointee under President Barack Obama at the U.S. Agency for International Development, where she spearheaded proactive media outreach. Sloan also worked at the Glover Park Group, a strategic communications and government relations firm. She holds degrees in public relations and political science, both from the University of Florida.

“The DLCC is proud to welcome Mara Sloan to our team,” said Post. “Over the past year, the DLCC has experienced a tremendous growth spurt and we are confidant Mara will take our team to the next level. As the DLCC and state Democrats continue to win and overperform in special elections across the country, we are thrilled to have Mara out in front to help us convey the importance of expanding Democratic strength in statehouses nationwide.”

Mara Sloan can be reached at [email protected].
