The DLCC announced an ongoing seven-figure investment to protect and expand the Democratic majority in the Virginia House
WASHINGTON— Tonight, fresh off the heels of setting a new record for early primary voting turnout and outraising their Republican counterparts by more than double, Virginia House of Delegates candidates are starting off the general election in a strong position.
The DLCC has a battle-tested strategy in Virginia that includes an ongoing seven-figure investment and a focus on eight target races so far, where winners were decided by as few as 53 votes last cycle. Democrats’ one-seat majority is Virginians’ strongest defense against the chaos in Washington and is a top priority for the DLCC to protect and expand this fall.

Virginia voters are paying close attention – that’s why they turned out in record numbers to support Democratic candidates tonight. The DLCC is full steam ahead in our work to protect and expand our one-seat majority in the Virginia House and strengthen the state legislative firewall.”
