Anna Kaplan

Senator Anna Kaplan came to this country as a refugee at age 13 and has devoted her life to strengthening immigrant communities and families throughout New York. The first former refugee to serve in the Senate, and the first Persian American elected to New York’s state legislature, Anna has been a proven champion in protecting reproductive rights, lowering everyday costs and fighting for common sense gun reforms. Anna is ready to return to the Senate to continue building a future where New Yorkers from all backgrounds can thrive.
