Danica Roem

In 2017, Danica Roem flipped a Virginia House seat – long-held by Republicans – from red to blue, and was sworn in as the first openly transgender state legislator in the nation. Her top priority as a state delegate has been listening and responding to her constituents’ needs, whether that’s resolving traffic congestion issues or concerns with local public schools. Now, she’s ready to continue that community-focused work in the state Senate.
