Senator Elijah Reichlin-Melnick was born and raised in Rockland County. He built a vibrant career as a public school teacher, regional planner, and legislative aide before being elected to the Senate in 2020. During his first term in office, Elijah introduced and passed more bills than any of his other freshman colleagues, including a measure to increase access to affordable health care. Elijah is excited to return to the Senate to continue helping better the lives of everyday New Yorkers.
