Elizabeth Guzman came to the United States from Peru with only $300 in her pocket and the passion to fight for every Virginian's success. As a delegate this session, Elizabeth supported a wide range of issues, from decriminalizing marijuana to increasing Virginia’s minimum wage.  

  • Passed 24 bills in her first three years in office, including historic legislation to lift Virginia's blanket ban on public sector collective bargaining 
  • A second-generation union member who was named a Legislative Leader by the League of Conservation Voters
