Eric Giddens

Sen. Eric Giddens is a former math teacher and Cedar Falls Board of Education member running for reelection to the Iowa Senate. Eric has been involved in Iowa’s public schools at every level, and he’s seen firsthand how leadership that ignores the will of the people in favor of extreme special interests has led to a steep decline in the quality of education available to working families. Eric is committed to continuing to stand up for public schools, as well as fighting to protect the environment and expand access to quality health care.

• Led community adoption of sustainability practices while working with the University of Northern Iowa Center for Energy and Environmental Education
• Sponsored a 2023 workers' rights bill in support of collective bargaining
