About Josh

Rep. Josh Turek is a two-time Paralympics gold medalist and the first and only Iowa legislator with a permanent disability. Josh is running for reelection to the Iowa House to continue championing working families, the disability community, and all of his fellow Iowans. If he wins reelection, Josh is committed to keeping up the fight to adequately fund public schools, raise the minimum wage, and protect natural resources from climate change while opposing efforts to privatize Medicaid and curtail workers’ right to unionize.  

  • Instrumental in passing the landmark bill HF 587 or Iowa’s Right to Repair Bill, which allows consumers to repair products they have purchased
