About Karen

A lifelong resident of the City of Suffolk, Karen Jenkins is running for office to serve the community that raised her. Currently in her second term on the Suffolk School Board, Karen is an advocate for public education and worked closely with state officials to increase funding for local schools. In the House of Delegates, Karen will be a fierce advocate for fully funding public education in Virginia. 

  • Voted to raise teacher pay and provide bonuses to educators
  • Advocated for mental health resources & fought for behavioral health funding in schools
