Lesly Muñoz is a labor organizer and daughter of Mexican immigrants running for the Oregon House. She has a chance to flip her district and unseat an incumbent who carelessly boycotted voting on a popular bill aimed at protecting both LGBTQ+ rights and reproductive freedom. As an advocate for workers and their families, Lesly is adamant that the government has no business involving itself in personal medical decisions like whether or not to have children. Her vision for her state’s future includes the expansion of affordable housing, health care, and public education, and she’s ready to put in the work to make that vision a reality.
