Mary Ann Folchert

Mary Ann Folchert is a former educator who taught in the same Omaha public school district she grew up in. She's running for the Nebraska legislature because she’s troubled by the way partisan polarization has hurt working families. Mary Ann is committed to providing the kind of authentic, open-minded representation needed to ensure a bright future for all Nebraskans.  At the core of this commitment is a belief that the government should not infringe on our personal liberties. To Mary Ann, that means medical decisions should be up to patients and their doctors, and school curriculums should be set by local educators and parents.

• Earned a Master’s degree in Resource Teaching and Learning Disabilities from the University of Nebraska
• Will support common-sense gun control legislation to promote responsible gun ownership
