Phil Hernandez

Civil rights attorney Phil Hernandez was born and raised in Hampton Roads, Virginia – the community he now seeks to serve. After becoming the first person in his family to graduate from college, Phil worked as a senior policy analyst in President Obama’s White House. Today, Hernandez leads a nonprofit where he has advocated for raising the state’s minimum wage, increasing teacher pay, and advancing criminal justice reform.
