Vanessa Vaughn West is a working mother, a member of the Lenexa police department’s community advisory board, and a strong advocate for an inclusive, diverse government. As the former community relations manager for the city of Olathe, Vanessa saw firsthand how a diverse group of dedicated public servants could positively impact people’s lives. She is excited to join the House to protect abortion access, fully fund public education, and build an economy that works for all.
