DLCC Executive Director to Serve on NDRC Board
National Democratic Redistricting Committee will coordinate party efforts nationwide
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee Executive Director Jessica Post announced that she will serve on the Board of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, the organization led by former Attorney General Eric Holder that coordinates Democratic efforts to position Democrats for success in the next round of redistricting.
“I am thrilled to be a part of this vital effort to help elect Democrats who will have a meaningful impact on the redistricting process in 2021,” said Post. “DLCC and Advantage 2020, the redistricting project we launched in 2014, are key parts of NDRC’s comprehensive strategy to ensure Democrats can prevent the GOP from executing another round of extreme partisan gerrymanders at all levels when the redistricting process gets underway in legislative chambers across the country.
““The gerrymandered maps the GOP pushed through state legislatures in 2011 have produced nearly a decade of Tea Party obstruction in Congress and devastating policies enacted in statehouses across the country,” continued Post. “NDRC will set priorities and align efforts to fight GOP gerrymandering at every possible level, and DLCC is providing a roadmap to rebuilding the party’s state-level infrastructure that will ensure Democrats have a seat at the redistricting table in 2021.”
