In response to the GOP’s recall effort on Colorado Senator Kevin Priola, Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee President Jessica Post released the following statement:
“The GOP’s efforts to remove Senator Kevin Priola from his seat are nothing short of a political circus with the full purpose of distracting voters from the issues that matter: protecting reproductive rights, preserving democracy, and creating jobs for Coloradans. Try as they may, the GOP cannot hide behind politically-motivated recalls to divert from the fact that their MAGA agenda is posing a dangerous threat to our democracy and caused Priola to flee their party. Make no mistake, the DLCC is more committed than ever to protecting Colorado’s Democratic majority this fall.”
