RELEASE: Trump and GOP Dismantle While State Democrats Deliver

State Democrats are delivering on the issues most important to voters while Trump’s extremism will be on full display 

WASHINGTON –  While Trump addresses a Joint Session of Congress tomorrow and recaps the chaos and destruction of his term so far, state legislative Democrats will continue their work in the states as the strongest bulwark against extremism and strongest path for progress. In the face of Trump and MAGA Republicans’ takeover and threats to economic opportunity, education, health care, the environment, and more, Democrats in state legislatures are delivering legislation that puts working families first. 

Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee President Heather Williams issued the following statement:

“With a total GOP takeover of Washington, state Democrats continue to step up and focus on the issues that matter most. From lowering the cost of living to protecting our schools and environment, state Democrats are pushing a proactive agenda focused on common-sense solutions. They will not be distracted by the dysfunction and havoc that Republicans have made a first priority and neither will the DLCC. State legislatures will remain where MAGA extremism meets its match and the Democratic agenda moves forward.”
