Democrats are overperforming in state legislative special elections this year
WASHINGTON—Pennsylvania voters will vote in a special election next week that will determine the balance of power in the House. In the fifth majority-deciding special election this year, DLCC Spotlight Candidate Dan Goughnour is running for HD-35 to break the tie left by the vacancy in this seat. The DLCC has played a key role in protecting the chamber, including through 8 majority-making special elections last cycle. Defending Democratic power in the Pennsylvania House is a top priority for the DLCC, which placed the chamber on our target map for the cycle.
